Finding and Using WIld Raspberries
Friday, March 27th, 2009If you are looking for only the more premium of wild raspberries then you will need to travel to the rural countryside of the United Kingdom in order to acquire them because regrettably the UK is where wild raspberries are indigenous to. A common mistake that novice fruit pickers make is that they assume (wrongly) that they will be able to quickly spot the raspberries due to the distinct red colour of the fruit. This is something of a fallacy because raspberries will grow from a flower and then steadily ripen which means that they do not acquire that red colour until they are fully matured. Given that wild raspberries are also surrounded by a vast amount of leaves and shrubbery this can make the positive identification of them even more difficult and time consuming.
