Terrific New eBook On How To Broil Delicious Foods

You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to acquire ideal health. We have also seen that many people like to drink water that has some type of flavor. Carbonation has opened up a whole new arena of drinking liquids to satisfy almost every taste. This process dissolves carbon dioxide to form carbonic acid which gives a slight burning sensation when we drink soda, for instance.

Seltzer and sparkling water are treated with carbon dioxide to give it its effervescent quality. The gas, or fizz that is released out manifests itself in the bubbles we can see in the soda or when we take off the cork of a sparkling wine bottle. It makes a sparkling sound that excites the senses of champagne and beer drinkers.

Some interesting observations came up during researching articles on carbonation. It is said that all carbonated beveragesare not created equal. Some can have more carbon dioxide added to it, depending on the required result. In higher concentrations CO2 is toxic : 1% (10,000 ppm) will make some people feel drowsy. Concentrations of 7% to 10% cause unbalance of the body headache, difficulties in visual and hearing , and unconsciousness within a few minutes to an hour.

Introducing carbon dioxide (CO2) into a beverage increases its weight. Weighing a bottle of seltzer and then carefully removing the cap can prove this. Weigh the bottle again after release of the gas. You will see a significant decrease in the weight. Shaking the bottle when it is closed then opening it will release more CO2 , which shows an even greater reduction in its weight. What do you think, this the reason that obesity occurs due to the regular use of these drinks?

Club soda is a kind of carbonated water of identical composition or it may include additional amounts of table salt and other minerals. These additives are put in to imitate the taste of homemade soda water. Carbonated water is considered to contain sodium in high amounts, but this is not true. It is simply water to which only carbon dioxide has been added. Carbonated water may be used as a mixer for alcoholic beverages or can be drunk on its own to quench the thirst.

CARBONATED WATER

You can make your own homemade brand of carbonated waterwith a soda siphon. Fill the bottle with water, put the lid on, then attach it to a small cylinder of CO2, sometimes called a “charger”. As other types of cylinders may have lubricants in them therefore be cautious and use only food grade cylinders. Screw the cylinder to pierce it, releasing the CO2 into it. Then shake properly the bottle. The bubbles are smaller in size than those in commercially made brands. Once homemade carbonated water is prepared to your satisfaction, you might want to go a step further and add fruit flavors from allfreightfree.com to enhance the flavor of your drink.
