Terrific New eBook On How To Broil Delicious Foods

When you speak about take away food, they are always considered as being fattening and bad for your health, but people never really realise that some of the menu is more healthy than others. Obviously if you will choose something that is greasy and covered in batter, it’s not going to be as good as say a vegetable curry. It’s all about knowing what’s the best and what’s the worst, while still enjoying your treat.

Here are some tips for the best and worst items on the menu for a range of different takeaways:

Fish and Chips: Although you can’t really avoid them, chips tend to be the worst things at chip shops, as for the others, sausages and pies are the other worst offenders. As for the best things, try to stick to fish, cod, haddock and plaice are the best as they contain the less fat.

Pizza: Your worst choice would be a deep pan base as this contains the most fat. As for toppings, try and stay away from extra cheese and pepperoni. For more healthy options, choose either fish or vegetables on the top of a thin crust base.

Chinese: With this, try and avoid crispy and greasy items because it generally means they have been deep fried. The worst items on the menu are sweet and sour battered meat balls, fried rise, and spring rolls. If you are going for the healthy line, stick with items that are steamed. Opting for things like crab and corn soup, beef, chicken, steamed veg and boiled rice are all healthier options.

Indian food: Just like the rules of Chinese, the items that contain the most fat and the ones that have been deep fried. Vegetable curry, chicken tikka, madras or bhuna are your best items to choose for a healthier meal. The healthiest item to have with these would be boiled rice.

Hopefully when you order your next takeaway, you will change from your usual large chips and jumbo sausage to something a little healthier. As I wrote that, I was certainly shocked because I order all of the bad stuff, but I guess that’s the way it is. The food that is the best tasting is, more often than not, the wort for us.
